PaciCoin (PACI)

PaciCoin (PACI)

Two Pacific-native currencies on one blockchain — built for the Kingdom of Tonga and the wider Pacific.

What is PaciCoin?

Ko e hā ʻa e PaciCoin?

PaciCoin (PACI) is the main currency of a shared, public blockchain kept in sync by many independent computers ("validators") instead of one company or bank. PACI is also used to pay the network's small transaction fees and to support network security through staking.

The same chain also carries TongaCoin (TONGA), a second currency for everyday transfers.

Ko e PaciCoin (PACI) ko e paʻanga tefito ia ʻo ha blockchain fakammuiʻi, ʻoku tauhi ʻe he ngaahi komipiuta tuʻumaʻu lahi (ko e "validators") kae ʻikai ha kautaha pe pangikē pē taha. ʻOku toe ngāueʻaki ʻa e PACI ke totongi ʻaki e ngaahi fī siʻi ʻo e ngaahi fetongi, pea ke poupouʻi ʻa e malu ʻo e network ʻi he founga "staking".

ʻOku toe fua ʻe he chain pē taha ʻa e TongaCoin (TONGA), ko e paʻanga hono ua ke fai ai e ngaahi fetongi faʻa hoko.

Get started

Kamata

You'll need a Cosmos-compatible wallet (for example, Keplr). Detailed setup steps and this network's exact connection details (chain-id, RPC address) will be published here once the network is publicly launched — see the project's GitHub repository for current status.

The most important rule: when you create a wallet, you'll get a 12/24-word recovery phrase. Write it on paper, never share it with anyone, never type it into a website. Anyone who has it can take everything in your wallet, permanently.

Te ke fiema'u ha wallet ʻoku fehoanaki mo Cosmos (hangē ko e Keplr). ʻE tuku mai ʻi heni ʻa e ngaahi founga fakaikiiki ʻi he taimi ʻe fakahā ai ʻa e network ki māmani lahi — vakai ki he GitHub repository ʻo e kupu ngāue ke ʻilo e tuʻunga lolotonga.

Ko ia ʻoku ne maʻu ia ʻe lava ke ne toʻo kotoa ʻa e meʻa ʻoku ʻi hoʻo wallet, ʻo taʻe faʻa fakafoki.

Staking

Staking

You can stake PACI — delegate it to a validator who helps run the network — and earn a share of network rewards over time. Staked PACI has a 21-day unbonding period before it can be withdrawn. Choosing a validator is your decision.

ʻE lava ke ke "stake" ʻa hoʻo PACI — foaki ki ha validator ke ne tokoni ʻi he puleʻi ʻo e network — pea ke maʻu ai ha vahe siʻi ʻi he ngaahi pale ʻo e network ʻi he taimi lolotonga. ʻOku 21 e ʻaho ʻi he founga "unbonding" ki muʻa ke lava ai ʻo toʻo ho meʻa. Ko hoʻo fili ha validator ko hoʻo fili pē ia.

Staying safe

Nofo Malu

  • Never share your recovery phrase with anyone — not even someone claiming to be "support."
  • Be skeptical of anyone contacting you first, promising guaranteed returns, or asking you to send coins to "verify" or "unlock" something.
  • Double-check you're on this exact website before entering any information.
  • This page is informational only and is not financial or investment advice.
  • ʻOua ʻaupito ʻe vahevahe hoʻo lea recovery ki ha taha — neongo ʻoku ne pehē ko ha "tokoni" ia.
  • Tokanga kiate kinautolu ʻoku nau taki muʻa fetuʻutaki mai, ʻo talaʻofa mai ha pale pau, pe kole ke ke ʻave ha paʻanga ke "fakamoʻoniʻi" pe "toʻo ha loka."
  • Fakapapauʻi ʻoku ke ʻi he uepisaiti totonu ni ki muʻa ke ke hū ai ha fakamatala.
  • Ko e peesi ni ko e fakamatala pē, ʻoku ʻikai ko ha akonaki fakapaʻanga pe fakapaʻanga tokoni.
